Roxbury Residence

The 1855 Greek Revival house was acknowledged and carefully restored and a large modern addition designed by Stephen Lasar was joined to it using structural steel with curtain walls. Large open rooms tempered by state of the art geothermal heating and cooling systems, green roofs and expansive glass overlook an undeveloped rural landscape. The tension between the old and the new is carefully defused allowing the opposing designs to be both exciting and pacifying.
